Season 4. of the CyberBastion League

During the fourth season of the CyberBastion League, six tournaments were held. The final tournament took place during the SECURITY CASE STUDY 2024 conference. Throughout Season 4., participants faced simulated cyberattacks based on real-life scenarios! These included complex assaults, from reconnaissance to privilege escalation and data exfiltration. All of this was done with a limited budget for defensive measures.

About the CyberBastion League!

Season 4. of the CBL

Final Ranking of Season 4. of LCB

On September 11, 2024, during the Security Case Study 2024 conference, the Grand Final of the IV season of the CyberBastion League took place. The partner of the IV season of the League was Alior Bank.

Season IV brought a lot of excitement! Teams fought for the title of the best team and for valuable prizes sponsored by our Foundation and our partners.

Here are the winners of the 2024 season:

1st place – 12,000 PLN – Team Control Alt Defeat (GFT)
2nd place – 5,000 PLN – Team 404
3rd place – 3,000 PLN – Team XD

Prize Sponsor: Alior Bank.

Additionally, during the conference, a special award was presented for the “Best Performance in Challenging Conditions,” worth 5,000 PLN – Team Knights of the Fiber Optics.

Teams also competed for the prestigious trophy, which bears the names of the winners from each season. The previous winners are:

This year, the CyberBastion trophy will gain a new engraving (the name of the winning team) – Control Alt Defeat! (GFT) Congratulations to the winners!!!

The GFT team from Group IT Cybersecurity – Security Operation Center, consisting of: Piotr Kosowski, Łukasz Goździkowski, Rafal Guzinski, Przemysław Jurewicz, and Dariusz A., won this tournament by defeating over 80 teams! This success is due to their strategic thinking, knowledge, and experience, which they utilized in each round by analyzing risks and selecting appropriate defenses. Congratulations, gentlemen!

The GFT team demonstrated that cybersecurity is not only about technology but also about masterful tactics.
